Inside The Ivy
The Ivy is a perfect vacation home for two people, although we can accomodate up to four people if that's your wish. It is right in the heart of Civitella Messer Raimondo's centro storico, in a charming and quiet street just a few steps from the church.
Tranquil Bedroom
Clean, comfortable and peaceful. The bedroom is accessorised with 'shabby chic' furnishings in a soft shade of sage to promote the ultimate in relaxation.
Private & Airy
The window opens out onto a street where there is no danger of being overlooked. Shutters provide extra shade and delicate curtains add a soft touch to the decoration.
Ample Storage
A triple wardrobe and a generously sized chest of drawers ensures more than ample space for your belongings. There's even an umbrella in there for rainy days.
Living Room
A deceptively spacious room ideal for relaxing and socialising. The TV is equipped for Netflix and Prime as well as the usual Italian Channels.
Curl Up in Comfort
The apartment is connected to the Internet and a wireless blu-tooth speaker means you can listen to anything anywhere. Or curl up in comfort, pick up a book and chill.
Extra Sleeping
The settee converts into two single beds. Spare pillows and linen are provided. Double doors give access onto the tiled balcony.
Modern Kitchen
The modern kitchen is equipped with a fridge, fan oven and induction hob. As well as supermarkets we have daily markets nearby selling fresh local food.
Inside Dining
The dining area seats four and enjoys a charming view through the french windows. An open log fire and effective central heating make a cosy winter retreat.
Combined Kitchen/Diner
Chat while you cook in the combined kitchen diner. Recipe books are on hand for inspiration plus basics (salt, pepper oil, vinegar & selected herbs) to get you started.
Spacious Bathroom
The light and airy bathroom has a shower, bidet, toilet and sink. As an unexpected pleasure, double doors open onto a tiny, completely private balcony.
Another Level
No, there's nothing up there. The apartment is self contained on just one floor. Although the high entrance step makes it unsuitable for people with disabilities. Sorry.
Little Extras
Bedding and towels are provided, plus wifi, Netflix and Amazon Prime. In the kitchen there's a kettle, coffee maker and an extensive range of utensils.
Then there's the view...
Even in Abruzzo it's hard to find a view to match this one. Step onto the balcony, breathe clean fresh mountain air and feel yourself begin to relax.
Ever Changing
Even subtle changes in weather can cause dramatic changes in scenery. The famous pasta producers of Fara San Martino take their water from the mountain streams.
Ever present
The balcony is an ideal spot to enjoy an al-fresco breakfast, lunch or supper. An outdoor umbrella protects you from the sun while you feast your body and your eyes.
